Wow Lots of Catching up to do!

Ahh...

So David has been away for a while, and I've been busy using my resources to remodel the house while he is away. It's been a rough road but we are getting there. Being pregnant, having a 16 month old attached to my hip, working 40+ hours a week, and remodeling a house - oh and somewhere in there I graduated with my BA in Business minor in Marketing. Ive been busy. I love being busy, but I have to tell myself to slow down because being pregnant is not easy and for me slowing down isn't easy either.

Im going to post a few pictures and also do another blog about being pregnant right after, so two posts for one night...

Let the renovations begin.... The Powder Room

So when we originally looked at the house, we thought that there was a lot of cosmetic fixes. We were quickly proved wrong when we moved in and I went to use the powder room and my foot sunk in the floor right by the toilet.

So when we originally looked at the house, we thought that there was a lot of cosmetic fixes. We were quickly proved wrong when we moved in and I went to use the powder room and my foot sunk in the floor right by the toilet.

With my Dad, Uncle Dave and Uncle Christopher's help we tore apart the bathroom to find that the joists were rotted from water damage and that we would need to replace them along with just about everything that was in the bathroom. So we tore up the floor, fixed the joists, put new subfloor in, put new wainscoating up, bought a new sink, new toilet, new faucet, new light fixture, new door knob.... The bathroom is brand spanking NEW :) The only thing that we kept was the baseboard heat, which should be expected.

Oh and don't forget NEW PAINT :) Thanks to David and Mom Kaet

So its been a while........

Okay so its been more than a while. It has been about a 11 months since I last updated this blog, and I can say this much A LOT has happened. We moved into our home on September 10th, the house is actually my grandparents old house that my grandpa built when my mom was in High School. It is a great place to raise a family, large yard lots of living space and right across the street from my parents. I couldn't feel more blessed, and lately I feel like this is not something that man planned this is something that God planned for us.

My reason behind thinking this is that David left for six months on October 7th, its going to be a long journey without him here but I am so lucky to have my parents right across the street. Our family has been very helpful since moving. Im going to be posting renovations and things in my next few blogs, there is a lot of catching up to do.

Mackenzie Abbigail Johnson

Mackenzie is HERE

After taking an unscheduled vacation of 3 days and waiting through the weekend for my contractions to either get stronger or to dialate more Mackenzie finally decided that mommy had enough and that it was time to make her appearance!

The labor and delivery went well, I went to the hospital at 9am and by 10am they had broke my water and started the pitocin to get my contractions in a better pattern. After spending 12 hours on pitocin the Dr's decided it was time to push I had fully dialated and effaced 100%. I had an epidural drip start right after the pitocin drip and I was very glad, I did not feel the pain until the day after. I had a 3rd degree tear which I am still recovering from. The first day home was wonderful, David is an amazing father and is so helpful!

Mackenzie Abbigail Johnson was born on September 26th at 9:53pm

8lb 4oz and 19 inches

Week well almost 35 :)

Im almost a week away from being full term..... have to admit it's kinda scary seeing as how David is at his 2 week long military training. I pray the next two weeks go by very quickly and that Kenzie does not make any attempts to come into the world early. We had an extra ultrasound last week because the Dr thought that the baby was not growing enough, well she must have had a growth spurt because they are estimating she will be about a 8lb baby. Maybe she will be maybe she won't but they did comment that her femur's are nice and long and we know she isn't getting that from my side of the family. So the best news is that she is a solid healthy weight, I can't wait to meet her, only 5.5 more weeks :)

7 weeks to go......

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5

As the weeks count down and we get closer to the day that we meet our little nugget, we are soaking up the time we have together as a couple. We are very excited and can't wait to meet little Mackenzie. We have an extra ultrasound on Saturday this week because the Dr was concerned about my uterus not growing as much as it should be I'm 4cm behind the curve.... So we are going to see what is going on and we are asking for extra prayers this weekend as we find out if everything is okay with the baby. We will update everyone on Saturday after we find out what is going on, and of course we will have more pictures to show :) I can't wait to see our baby girl again one last time before she is born.......
